Exploring Fertility Telemedicine

Fertility telemedicine is making it easier to get started with reproductive care

The world is grappling with an unprecedented health challenge, but we don’t want it to put your dreams on hold. The COVID-19 pandemic has driven healthcare providers all over the world to get creative. For us, that means rapid innovation in fertility telemedicine.

Our Southern California fertility clinic offers video fertility consultations through a variety of online video conferencing platforms, such as Zoom and Skype. If you no longer want to put fertility treatment on hold, a remote consultation is a great option for you.

How fertility telemedicine works

During a fertility telemedicine consultation visit, you can get to know your fertility specialist, share your concerns and medical history, and get information about the fertility treatment options available to you.

Your partner, friend or family member can be right there with you during your first visit, and you won’t have to leave the comfort and safety of your home. Not only that, your remote consultation will give you the same one-on-one attention you would receive if you were sitting in our Southern California fertility clinic.

Getting fertility testing

To establish a baseline measure of your and your partner’s fertility, and to track your progress if you are in fertility treatment, certain tests are necessary. Because fertility testing requires bloodwork, ultrasounds and semen analysis, you will need to visit our office or an affiliated laboratory or other facility.

Our office and IVF laboratory are taking extraordinary measures to protect all visitors. If you must come to our office for fertility testing, we ask that you not bring anyone with you, wear a homemade mask and maintain six-foot distancing within the building. Our expert team is happy to answer any questions you may have before you come in for testing.
