Our team provides tips for coping with male infertility on Father’s DayReceiving a male infertility diagnosis is not something you want to hear, but you’re not the only one facing it. In one third of couples with infertility, male factors are responsible. However, knowing you’re not alone often doesn’t make Father’s Day easier. To help, our Southern California fertility center offers some tips for coping with male infertility.

Plan something special to do that day

Now’s a good time to plan something with your partner. For example, schedule a day trip somewhere you’ve always wanted to go or spend a long weekend at one of your favorite spots. Getting out of your normal routine and away from your worries at home can help you relax, reconnect with your partner and gain a new perspective.

Seek support online

Find a male infertility support group online to talk with other men struggling with the same issues as you. This is one of the best tips for coping with male infertility. It may be hard to open up to a stranger, but it can help to talk with others going through a similar situation.

Have some “me” time

It’s okay to want some time for yourself. Maybe you want to think, or maybe you just want to drink a beer and watch a game. It’s your day, so take a walk, go for a drive or do whatever you want to make the day your own.

Coping with male infertility can involve planning for the future

If you and your partner have been trying to conceive for a year, or six months if your female partner is over 35, it’s time to see a fertility doctor. Our Southern California fertility center offers diagnostic testing and fertility treatments to help men and couples achieve parenthood. Our team’s goal is to help you welcome a baby and celebrate many future Father’s Days.
