Fertility Care After COVID-19

What will it be like to get fertility care after COVID-19?

Fertility care after COVIDIn just a few months, a global pandemic has changed the way people all over the world live. But for people who need fertility treatment, postponing progress toward having a baby is heartbreaking. When it comes to fertility care after COVID-19, our Southern California fertility center expects some things to change, while much will remain the same.

Many people wonder how life will change after COVID-19, and some may have delayed getting nonessential medical treatment out of fear of exposure. This has certainly been true with fertility treatment. The pandemic forced physicians all over the US and the world to get creative when considering fertility treatment and COVID-19 exposure. In our case, that meant adding the Zoom platform as a means of conducting telemedicine appointments to our existing phone and Skype options.

Fertility care after COVID-19 will be different

We found that people love being able to get a fertility consult without leaving home, and Dr. Anderson has greatly enjoyed having one-on-one video conference time with our patients. For us, fertility care after COVID-19 will continue to include telemedicine.

Now that our Southern California fertility center is welcoming more patients into our offices, you can expect your experience to be a little bit different than in the past. Every visitor is asked to wear a mask, and upon arrival for their scheduled appointment, we will require that all patients wait in their vehicle until called in for their appointment.  Our patients will be greeted at the door by a member of our staff who will then take their temperature before the patient enters our suite. We also ask that you please come to our offices alone, which is just part of how life will change after COVID-19.

If you have been sick, are currently experiencing symptoms or have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, we politely ask that you schedule a telemedicine visit and avoid coming into our facility. The health and safety of every visitor and team member is our first priority, and we will do everything we can to expedite your care once you’re feeling well again.

How life will change after COVID-19

Right now, we’re taking every possible precaution to keep you safe while receiving fertility care after COVID-19. Everywhere we go, life is a little bit different than it was this time last year, but people are taking it all in stride.

Fertility treatment and COVID-19 certainly don’t mix, but with proper precautions, we know we can keep your care plan on track while keeping you and your loved ones safe. The new normal at our offices may look a little different, but it’s all part of how life will change after COVID-19. We’ll be smiling under our masks as we welcome you to our Southern California fertility center.
